Joe Kovar is a founding partner of the Firm, and has over 35 years of public accounting experience working with closely-held businesses and their owners in a variety of industries, including:

He also has extensive forensic accounting experience working on a variety of issues including family law, business disputes, business valuation and lost profits claims.
Joe is also a financial advisor and works closely with clients to provide independent investment advice and wealth accumulation strategies designed to achieve financial goals.

EDUCATION AND DESIGNATIONS
Joe received his BS in Accounting from Santa Clara University. He also holds an MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University. He has earned the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the AICPA. In addition, he holds Series 7, Series 66, and life insurance licenses.
ASSOCIATIONS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Joe is a Director and Past President of the East Bay Chapter of the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA). He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Joe has been a youth soccer, baseball and basketball coach for various youth organizations in the East Bay.
